Background: Haseo is a character created for the (fictional) online MMORPG "The World R:2", an Adept Rogue (basically meaning that through class extensions he can change his character design and use more weapons). When he first joined the game, he was taken on a quest with two seemingly helpful players. Upon reaching the end of the quest, however, the two turned on him, PKing (player killing) him for kicks. He was revived shortly after by a character by the name of Ovan, who scared the PKers off.

Over the next several days (weeks?), Haseo was invited to two guilds. One of these guilds was the merchant guild TaN, while the other was run by Ovan himself; The Twilight Brigade. In the end, after much discussion with previous members of the Twilight Brigade and the few people he'd met on The World, he chose to join Ovan for the sake of figuring out just what the hell he was about.

During his membership in the Twilight Brigade guild, he levelled up and searched for "Virus Cores" via Ovan's instruction (though rarely with Ovan himself), befriending the few other members in the process. The assistant guild master, Shino, in particular, he grew rather close to, her being the essential reason that he played the game at all.

In the end, Ovan went missing, and the guild turned to Shino for support. Since Shino had leaned rather heavily on Ovan, she took to Haseo's shoulder instead, unable to bear the weight of the guild by herself. Eventually (months later), she disbanded the guild, though still waiting for Ovan's return. The last time Haseo saw her was as he walked into the Hulle Granz Cathedral just in time to see her fall after being PKed by Tri-Edge, a mysterious entity that dissolved her character data and placed her real life player into a coma.

Shino's "death" and comatose state sent Haseo into a frenzy. He became distant to the friends he did have, and was hell-bent on finding Tri-Edge and extracting information from him on how to bring Shino back. He went through hell to become stronger, participating in an event called the Forest of Pain in which he gained his third form (somehow seeming to skip past his second form), making him able to weild a broad sword and a scythe in addition to his standard twin swords. His weapon of choice at that point was the scythe, and soon he began hunting down PKers in hopes to find information on Tri-Edge (suspected to be just a legendary PKer), becoming a legend himself. He became known as the Legendary PKKer Haseo, the Terror of Death, who killed 100 PKers at once. He even killed a famous PKer known as Bordeaux, instigating a grudge that would last months on end. Eventually, Ovan returns, giving Haseo information about where he can find "Tri-Edge" and when. Returning once more to the Hulle Granz Cathedral, he faced off against "Tri-Edge" and lost, getting data drained.

When he returned to The World, he found that he had been stripped of all his levels and items.

Starting over, he befriended members of the guild Canard, as well as a PC who used the same character design as Shino. He was shocked at first to see her (prior to being data drained), but noticed shortly after that her name was Atoli and that the colors and personalities were quite different. It didn't take long before substituting as the Canard guild shop clerk landed him the position of Canard's new guild master, and shortly after that, he was targeted by another guild known as Raven (though this name is a guise for the true organization known as G.U.) which he joins on the condition that he be told everything there is to know about "Tri-Edge".

Through an informative talk with Raven's guild master, Yata, he learned quite a bit more about his PC data and what was going on in The World. (Haseo has a special "Epitaph" embedded in his character data, that allows him to call upon a power that normal players don't have. His Epitaph is named Skeith, though he is unable to call it at first.)

One thing lead to another, and Haseo ended up participating in one of The World's arena tournaments (for the throne of the Demon Palace), during which his Epitaph awakens and he climbs all the way to the top to defeat the current Emperor, Endrance (who also weilds an Epitaph and is being controlled by the malicious entity G.U. is out to destroy, known as AIDA). After the ceremony for the crowning of a new Emperor, Atoli went missing in search of "Tri-Edge", so that she could prove herself to Haseo. Upon finding her, Haseo and his party faced off against "Tri-Edge", emerging victorious, only to have Atoli attacked by AIDA and her Epitaph stolen. Despite defeating "Tri-Edge", there was no change in Shino's status.

With Atoli's Epitaph in hand, AIDA created a mirror server, taking every player that was logged in at the time and placing them in it, unable to log out. Despite G.U. managing to transfer everyone back to the regular servers, Atoli found that her hand was paralyzed, even in the real world. The transfer to the AIDA server also created an opportunity for AIDA to infect multiple players, and those attacked by AIDA infected players fell into comas. Later, Yata informs Haseo that the Emperor of the Holy Palace is infected by AIDA, and Haseo enters the tournament in order to defeat the AIDA.

Joined by Endrance, Team Haseo made it past Bordeaux (also AIDA infected) and defeated Sirius (the current Emperor), freeing him from AIDA's grip and taking a second throne, while at the same time returning Atoli's Epitaph to her and curing her condition. Later, Atoli was used by the one she looked up to (Sakaki of her guild Moon Tree) in a coup on Moon Tree's guild master. The area home for Moon Tree was turned into another, small scale AIDA server, and Haseo, alongside other G.U. members, was sent in to free Atoli and destroy the AIDA server.

Sakaki, upon seeing that his plan failed, fled to another area, though G.U. was hot on his tail. After Haseo defeated Sakaki (who tried to infect HIMSELF with AIDA), Ovan appeared once more, and revealed himself as the true "Tri-Edge" and the one who PKed Shino, as well as the one behind Sakaki's actions. They eventually rendezvouz at the place where Ovan originally went missing and fight, and though Haseo defeats him, nothing changes.

DRESSING ROOM CANON: He's been warped to the dressing room from Rhodivon, and as such, despite being end vol 2, he retains his first form appearance and is dressed in casual civilian clothes.
